 /Jim Noble Memorial Award for young musicians
Jim Noble Award
A fund was raised in memory of the late Jim Noble, by the Westmorland Music Council. This enables an award to be competed for at the Mary Wakefield Festival. During the week, the current adjudicators will be asked to choose four, or possibly five, students from solo classes who have shown particular talent, both technically and artistically, and also with potential for the future. They do not necessarily need to be class winners.
These students will perform during the Friday night concert at the end of the Festival and will be adjudicated by a separate panel. The winner will receive an award of £500, and grants will also be given to the runners-up.
